Young People in our Parish and Diocese

A huge thank you to NET Ministries for leading our P6 and P7 in a wonderful retreat. More experiences like that will be available in the academic year with the Diocesan Youth Initiative for 10=14 years of age. Interested? Speak to Canon Tom.

Today (Sunday 8th May) is our Children’s Mass at 11 am followed by our May Procession (if poor weather the crowning will be of our statue inside the church).

Our theme for the Mass is ‘Jesus, our Shepherd,’

Net Ministries’ Retreat Day for Young People on Sunday 15th May in St Mary’s, Forebank, Dundee. The age group is secondary school. There are a few places left but we need to know by Monday 9th May.

Signing up to read in St Fillan’s: please put your name down on the readers’ rota. Canon Tom invites all those interested in reading and all those who currently read to an evening of sharing and input on Tuesday 17th May at 7 pm. Tea and cake provided!

We are very much looking forward to Chris McCrosson’s Diaconate Ordination on Saturday 28th May at 12 Noon in the Cathedral. If you are interested in going, could you please put your name down on the sheet provided, so we can order a bus. Chris will have expenses as a Deacon, and Canon Tom proposes a collection for Chris in the next couple of weeks.

There will be a Songs of Praise’ in Crieff Parish Church, St Michael’s Building on Sunday 5th June at 6 pm. All welcome.

Please pray for peace in Ukraine, for all those affected by Covid19, and the repose of the souls of Derek and John Glenister, and all the faithful departed.
