Sacrament of Reconciliation - Saturdays 5pm-5.15 pm

 

The Week Ahead

 

Monday 7pm followed by ‘Conversations in the Spirit’ for half an hour

Tuesday 9.30 am followed by Exposition until 11 am

Wednesday 9.30 am; Rosary 7 pm.

 

Thursday is the Solemnity of the Ascension and Masses are as follows:

St Fillan’s 9.30 am and 7 pm; St Margaret’s 6 pm; St John’s Academy (in St John’s, Perth) 12 Noon; St Dominic’s 2.30 pm.

 

Friday 9.30 am

 

Conversations in the Spirit

 

We have our last ‘Conversation in the Spirit’ on Monday 26th May after evening Mass. Thanks to all who have come, and if you haven’t managed yet, please come along on Monday!

Canon Tom would meet after Sunday 11 am Mass on one of the Sundays for a ‘one-off’ session. Please have a word with him so he can  gauge numbers.

 

Pilgrimage to St Fillan’s Cave Saturday 31st May

 

Everyone is asked to be at St Fillan’s for 9.15 am promptly for departure to Pittenweem. We shall be hosted for a cup of tea etc by the local Episcopal church and then proceed to Mass. Afterwards we can have a walk to Anstruther for fish and chips. A full timetable to follow, once Canon Andrew has been in touch with everyone. There may be a couple of spare seats on the bus.

 



Confirmations and First Communions

 

Just a reminder that on the 3rd  of June at 6.30 pm (please note slight change to time), Bishop Andrew will be with us to celebrate confirmation. On Saturday 7th June at 11 am, Fr Ronnie from St Mary’s, Kinnoull will be here to celebrate First Communions. Our wonderful tea ladies may need some help – the gents are not excluded! Please see Canon Tom soon, if you want to pitch in.

 

Annual Summer Fete - Saturday 14th June – 11 am – 2pm

 

Please come along and help fundraise for the parish hall. All the usual attractions. Entry £4 which includes all the tea, coffee and cake you can consume. Under 16s enter for free.

 

Contactless Payments

 

Are now possible in the parish porch. Simply select who you want to pay to, select the amount and tap your card. If you want to enter your own figure , please select that, lift the contactless lid and insert your card and PIN number in the usual way. Thanks to everyone for their generosity.

Assisted Dying Bill

 

Please support organisations seeking to make amendments and please don’t give up trying to persuade our MSPs to vote against it. Please check how our MSP voted and continue to ask him to consider the views put to him. Around the Diocese

 

A new youth initiative, called the Dunkeld Youth Association, is being launched in St Andrew’s Cathedral, Dundee during the 6 pm Mass today, Sunday 25th May. It is open to the 18–30-year-old age group.

 

Please pray for the repose of the souls of Angus and Marylin Smith, Sandy Munro, Isabelle Cox, Chic Murphy, and all the faithful departed.
