The Week Ahead

Canon Tom should be back to being able to see well enough to celebrate Mass by Wednesday 11th June, but until then, just to make sure of things, he is laying low and taking the opportunity to rest after his eye operation. So, for the week ahead:

Mondy and Tuesday no daily Mass, no exposition on Tuesday.

Wednesday 9.30 am. Rosary 7 pm.

Thursday 9.30 am

Thursday 9.30 am in St Margaret’s

Friday 9.30 am.

Celebration of Confirmation and First Communion

Congratulations to all who were confirmed on Tuesday by Bishop Andrew. Thanks to him for coming and celebrating the sacrament in such a warm way.

Congratulations also to our young people who celebrated their First Holy Communion on Saturday, and a big thank you to Fr Ronnie from St Mary’s, Kinnoull for coming to celebrate First communions and the weekend Masses. I know he will be made most welcome.

Works at St Margaret’s

The main works on the flood defences around St Margaret’s are now due to begin in September of this year.

Pilgrimage to St Fillan’s Cave Saturday 31st May

What a wonderful day we had. Thanks to all who came, Rev David Gordon and the community of St John’s, Pittenweem, and Canon Andrew for organising it so well.

Annual Summer Fete - Saturday 14th June – 11 am – 2pm

Please come along and help fundraise for the parish hall. All the usual attractions. Entry £4 which includes all the tea, coffee and cake you can consume. Under 16s enter for free.

Dad’s Mass – Sunday 15th June 11 am

All are welcome to Mass on Sunday 15th June at 11 am in St Fillan’s but especially all dads, stepdads, grandads, and father figures. Afterwards we shall have pizza. Please put your name down on the sheet provided to help us with numbers.

Contactless Payments

Are now possible in the parish porch. Simply select who you want to pay to, select the amount and tap your card. If you want to enter your own figure, please select that, lift the contactless lid and insert your card and PIN number in the usual way. Thanks to everyone for their generosity.
